Phase 6 — Publish & Export to Amazon KDP

Generate the publishing package, download the right files, and upload them to KDP.

Click "Generate Publishing Package" and confirm the credit cost. The package writes your Amazon listing copy: description, keywords and category suggestions.
When you see "Publishing package is ready", use "Quick Downloads" to get each file, or download everything as one bundle.
On Amazon KDP, create a new title, paste the listing copy, then upload the interior PDF and the matching cover file for each format.

Which file goes where

Paperback: interior PDF + paperback cover wrap PDF.
Hardcover: interior PDF + hardcover cover wrap PDF (only at hardcover-capable trim sizes).
Kindle ebook (text books): EPUB file + ebook cover image.

Assembling and downloading the finished package costs 5 credits; re-downloading files you already generated is free.

Rights

You own full commercial rights to the books you create. Publish on Amazon KDP or any other platform, and print anywhere you like.

Does KDP Builder upload my book to Amazon for me?

No. You download the files and listing copy here, then upload them in your own Amazon KDP account so the book and its royalties belong to you.

Do I need an ISBN?

Amazon KDP provides a free ISBN for print books during upload. You can use your own if you already have one.

Generate the interior PDF and covers, use the Design Studios, and handle rebuilds.
