Phase 4 — Edit & Quality
Deep Edit passes, quality checks, and why page-based books skip this phase.
Last reviewed 2026-09-28
Phase 4 polishes the manuscript. "Deep Edit (Full Pipeline)" runs a genre-aware sequence of editing passes across the whole book as a background job and shows the cost before it starts.
- You can also edit any chapter yourself in the Manuscript Editor — manual edits are free.
- Quality checks flag issues such as repeated text, leftover placeholders or off-brief content so you can fix them before design.
Why does my book say this phase is skipped?
Coloring, puzzle and low-content books have no manuscript to edit, so the progress trail marks Phase 4 as "Skipped — not needed". To fix a page in those books, use the pencil icon on that page in the page grid to edit its prompt and regenerate it.
